Rob Brown played on the Badger Baseball team as both a left-handed pitcher and first baseman. During his time at Spring Hill College, Brown was three-year team captain and unanimously named All-Gulf Coast Athletic Conference for three years. He was not only the number one pitcher on the team, but also one of the strongest hitters. Coach Frank Sims called him "one of the best all-around players in the GCAC during his time at SHC (1985-1989)." Rob pitched the toughest games for the Badgers, often multiple times a week. It was not unheard of for him to pitch in a game on Saturday, then again on Tuesday. While at Spring Hill College, Brown boasted 23 wins and 14 losses. He was .295 career hitter and held a 3.50 ERA. Rob struck out 130 batters in his career.
