Jason Kuehl starred for the Spring Hill College baseball team from 1996-2000. The Wisconsin native started as a freshman and made an immediate impact as an outfielder. That year, he helped the Badgers to an appearance in the NAIA Regionals, where he hit .410 as the Hill secured a top-15 finish in the final national rankings. During his sophomore year, Jason was a key contributor to Spring Hill College’s 1997 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Championship team. As a four-year starter in centerfield for the Badgers, Kuehl was named to the Gulf Coast Athletic All Conference team all four years. He finished his career with the SHC career record of 159 runs scored while breaking fellow inductee Tim Hilpert’s career batting average record at .355. Spring Hill Hall of Fame coach Frank Sims commented, “Jason may be the best center fielder I ever coached and I had many good ones over my 37 years.” Kuehl remains active in athletics on the Gulf Coast where he serves as college soccer official.
