Badgers stumble, set to host SIAC Round-Up next week

MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill men's tennis team was saddled with a loss on Friday, falling 5-2 at the hands of Southern Arkansas at Medal of Honor Park. The loss drops the Badgers to 8-8 on the season, including a 3-2 mark in the city of Mobile.  
 
Match Details:
The Muleriders opened the day with victories on Courts 3 and 2 respectively in doubles action, picking up the early 1-0 lead. Tom Gutermann got Spring Hill on the board with a 6-4, 6-1 win in the top flight, but SAU stormed back with back-to-back wins on Courts 5 and 4.
 
Tom Ruel kept the Badgers in it with a three-set win in the third flight, bringing Spring Hill back within a point. The Muleriders closed out the second and final flights with wins, however, preventing the Spring Hill comeback.

The Badgers return to action on Thursday, when they open the second SIAC Round-Up of the season at Copeland-Cox Tennis Center. The Badgers went 5-1 in the first Round-Up of the year, outscoring opponents 36-5 along the way.
