Badgers open Roundup with wins over Benedict and Tuskegee

ORLANDO – The Spring Hill men's tennis team opened the SIAC Roundup with a pair of victories on Thursday, defeating Benedict 7-0 before taking down Tuskegee later in the day. The Badgers are now 2-0 in conference play on the young season, and they have won 34 straight SIAC Roundup matches.
 
Match Details:
Spring Hill began the first match by taking all three doubles flights and followed it up with a perfect 6-0 record in singles play. Evan Patton earned the clinch with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the fifth flight, while Gutermann finished off the sweep with a victory on Court 1.
 
Against Tuskegee, doubles play looked almost identical, and Gutermann earned the clinching point behind a 6-2, 6-2 win in the top flight. Filipe Grebenstov picked up the final point of the day, doing so with a 7-6, 6-4 victory on Court 2.
