MOBILE, Ala. – Spring Hill College softball's
Bailey Cox was named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Softball All-South Region Softball Team, it was announced Tuesday.
The redshirt sophomore utility player earned a spot on the second team in her first year at the Division II level. The Bay Minette, Ala., native held a .306 batting average and slugged .398 at the plate this season. She batted in 22 runs while also picking up seven doubles and a triple. In the field, she held a .859 fielding percentage. Cox was also named to the SIAC All-Conference second team in her debut season in the SIAC.
The honor marks the second year in a row a Badger has been named to the D2CCA All-South Region team.
Paityn Desormeaux (utility/pitcher) was the first-ever student-athlete from the program named to the team back in 2022.
