MOBILE, Ala. — The Spring Hill College men's soccer team battled back from a second-half deficit to earn a 1-1 draw against Embry-Riddle University on Friday afternoon at Library Field.

The Badgers (0-1-1) and Eagles played to a scoreless first half before Embry-Riddle broke through shortly after halftime. Riley Aldana found the back of the net to give the Eagles a 1-0 advantage.

Spring Hill responded with pressure of its own and eventually found the equalizer. Gabriel Lebron played a ball to Loveveer Kullar, who finished the opportunity to bring the match level at 1-1. The goal marked Kullar's first of the season, while Lebron recorded his first assist.

Neither team could find a go-ahead goal in the remaining minutes, as the Badgers held on for the draw.

Embry-Riddle finished with a 9-4 advantage in shots and held a 4-2 edge in shots on goal. The Eagles also earned four corner kicks to Spring Hill's one.

The Badgers' defense kept Embry-Riddle off the scoreboard after Aldana's goal, with Jose Lozano Soto making two saves in the second half. Cole Osborne added one save during the opening half.

Kullar led Spring Hill with two shots, including one on goal, while Harry Twinn also recorded a shot on target.

The draw moves Spring Hill to 0-1-1 on the season, while Embry-Riddle moves to 2-0-1.

Spring Hill returns to action Tuesday, Sept. 8, when the Badgers host Tuskegee at Library Field.
