CLINTON, Miss. – The Spring Hill men's tennis team was tripped up on Wednesday, falling 6-1 at the hands of Delta State.
Tom Gutermann picked up the Badgers' lone point on the day, coming away with a victory in the top singles flight.
Match Details:
Delta State took the doubles point with wins in the first and third flights, taking the early 1-0 lead. Gutermann was the first Badger to complete a singles match, defeating Simon Ojeda 6-1, 6-3 on Court 1 to pull Spring Hill even.
Filipe Grebenstov dropped Court 2 by a final of 6-2, 6-4, followed by
Tom Ruel's defeat on Court 3.
Luke Bedwell was tripped up 6-3, 6-2 in the fourth flight, with
Evan Patton and
Cristobal Rios each falling 6-3, 6-1 on Courts 6 and 5 respectively.
