Badgers Shutout and Eliminate Tigers

MACON, Ga. – The Spring Hill College baseball team eliminated No. 2-seeded Edward Waters from the 2025 Cricket SIAC Baseball Championship with a 9-0 shutout victory at Luther Williams Field on Saturday.

Jack Taylor recorded three hits, two RBIs and a walk in four at-bats to lead the top-seeded Badgers (39-13) in the elimination game. Taylor, Jackson Bell and Nick Hunter each tallied a double apiece.
 
John Webb opened scoring on an error by the Tigers (35-18) in the fifth, followed by Bell's RBI double. Webb then brought a run across home in the sixth before scoring on wild pitch to make it a 4-0 lead for SHC.
 
Taylor doubled to left in the seventh to continue the scoring run for Spring Hill. The Badgers tacked on three more runs in the eighth to cap off the 9-0 shutout victory.
 
Miles Justin pitched a complete game, sitting down two and giving up seven hits while facing 32 batters.
 
Spring Hill will take on No. 3 Savannah State in the final game of the losers' bracket on Sunday at 1 p.m. (ET).
