Bullington Hits 100 Wins

MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team finished the regular season with a doubleheader sweep and SIAC series victory against Albany State at Sims-Galle Field on Friday. Head coach Walker Bullington hit 100 career wins following the victory in game one.
 
Spring Hill 4, Albany State 2
Miles Justin (W: 6-2); Kai St. Germaine (S: 3); Brady Davis (L: 3-5)
 
Nick Hunter led at the plate with a 2-for-4 outing that included two runs scored.
 
Albany State (26-10, 21-12 SIAC) got on the board first with a pair of runs in the opening frame. AJ Swader grounded out to second and brought Hunter across the plate in the bottom of the first.
 
Jack Taylor sacrificed to center field to tie the game at 2-2 in the first. Taylor followed this up with an RBI double down the left field line in the fifth to give the Badgers (36-12, 29-3 SIAC) the 3-2 lead.
 
Bryce Anderson brought an insurance run home with his sacrifice in the seventh. The 4-2 victory marked career win 100 for head coach Walker Bullington.
 
Justin Miles (6-2) earned the win with two earned runs, eight hits and two strikeouts across 5.2 innings. Kai St. Germaine got his third save of the season after giving up a single hit in 1.2 innings.

Michael Racobaldo (W: 8-1); Arlon Butts (S: 1); Austin Lee (L: 0-4)
 
Jackson Bell led in game two with two hits and two runs scored in three at-bats.
 
Spring Hill opened scoring up with four straight runs in game two. Jack Taylor got things started in the first after grounding out to bring home Bell.
 
David King kept the scoring run moving with a ground out RBI to bring home Anderson in the second. Jon Barnard knocked a two-run double down the left field line to cap off the 4-0 scoring run for SHC.
 
Albany State broke the run up with a three-run homer to right field in the fourth and made it a 4-3 game. It was Anderson ensuring the win again with an RBI single in the fifth.
 
Michael Racobaldo (8-1) got the win with five strikeouts, three earned runs and five walks in 4.0 innings of work. Arlon Butts earned his first win of the season with just two hits and three strikeouts across 2.0 innings.
