MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team completed its seventh SIAC series sweep of the season after taking both games from Morehouse in Saturday's doubleheader at Sims-Galle Field.

Bryce Anderson led the Badgers (31-9, 24-2 SIAC) in the first game with two hits and three runs in five at-bats. The win marked the third season in a row that SHC has achieved at least 30 wins.

John Webb got things started with an RBI single in the opening frame. The Maroon Tigers (16-20, 10-17 SIAC) answered with a pair of runs in the third to take a 2-1 lead.

Eli Benoit tied things up in the third at 3-3 and started a 5-0 scoring run for SHC that ran through the sixth. Morehouse broke the run up in the seventh with another pair of runs, cutting the Badger lead to 6-4.

Spring Hill tacked on three more runs to Morehouse's one over the seventh and eighth. The Badgers defeated the Maroon Tigers 9-5.

Miles Justin earned the win with eight strikeouts, three hits, two earned runs and two walks over 6.0 innings.

Morehouse opened scoring in game two with a run in the first. Spring Hill rattled off nine runs, capped off by a grand slam from
David King, in response through the fourth.

The Badgers held off multiple attempts to rally by the Maroon Tigers. SHC completed the series sweep with an 11-6 victory over Morhouse.

Michael Racobaldo took the win with six strikeouts and a single earned run over 4.1 innings of work.
Â
SHC will head to Pensacola, Fla., on Tuesday to take on regional rival West Florida. The midweek non-conference contest is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. CT.
