Spring Hill Suffers Loss to Falcons

MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team suffered a -7-3 loss to Montevallo at Sims-Galle Field on Tuesday.
 
The Badgers (1-3, 0-0 SIAC) started with a lead in the opening frame. The Falcons (3-1, 0-0 GSC) answered with a pair of runs and took a 2-1 lead in the second inning.
 
Seth Williams blasted a two-run homer in the third inning to give Spring Hill a 3-2 lead in the third. Montevallo stacked five runs through the end of the game to defeat SHC, 7-3.
 
Williams led the Badgers going 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs and his first home run of the season.
 
Isaac Crabb sat down nine batters across 5.0 innings in his first appearance for the Badgers. Garrett Lott (1-1) took the loss on the mound. As a whole, the SHC pitching staff recorded a season-high 15 strikeouts.
