SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Spring Hill College baseball team clinched the Savannah State series Sunday after defeating the Tigers, 12-6, at Tiger Field.

The Tigers (5-5, 4-2 SIAC) got on the board first with a run in the opening frame and two more in the second. Savannah State pitcher Gregorio Gonzalez hit a batter with the bases loaded to give the Badgers (7-7, 5-1 SIAC) their first run of the game in the fourth.

An RBI double by SSU in the fourth made it a 4-1 game. Spring Hill strung together 10-straight runs from the fifth to the eighth, highlighted by
Seth Williams' two-RBI single.

SHC was able to hold the Tigers to two runs in the eighth, keeping the strong 11-6 lead. The final run of the game was scored by the Badgers on a bases-loaded hit by pitch.

David King totaled a team-leading three RBIs in the series-clinching victory.
Jackson Bell led the Badgers at the plate with a 2-of-4 outing and three runs.

Korey Bunselmeyer earned the win in his fourth start on the mound this season. He struck out seven batters and yielded four earned runs while facing 30 batters across 6.0 innings.
