PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Spring Hill College baseball team earned a 7-4 midweek road victory against West Florida at Jim Spooner Field on Tuesday.

Nick Hunter opened scoring, getting the Badgers (5-6, 3-0 SIAC) on the board first after scoring on a throwing error from third in the opening frame. The Argonauts (4-6, 1-2 SIAC) answered in their half of the first with a run.

Spring Hill extended its lead with a pair of runs in the second before West Florida answered with two of its own, keeping the game level. SHC scored another run in the fifth and
Parker Serio blasted a home run into left field to make it a two-run game again in the eighth.

UWF was only able to bring one more run across the plate in the eighth.
Jackson Bell knocked his first home run of the season in the ninth and
Seth Williams scored after to seal the 7-4 win for SHC.

In total, the Badgers scored seven runs on 10 hits and no errors. The Spring Hill pitching staff combined for a season-high 12 strikeouts.

Isaac Crabb earned his first win of the season after making his second start. He struck out six batters in 6.0 innings of work.
