SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Spring Hill College baseball team split Saturday's SIAC doubleheader with Savannah State at Tiger Field.

GAME ONE | Spring Hill 9, Savannah State 7

The Tigers (5-4, 4-1 SIAC) got on the board first with three runs in the opening frame. The Badgers (6-7, 4-1 SIAC) responded with five unanswered runs, highlighted by a base-clearing triple from
Reggie Cooper in the second and an RBI triple from
Parker Serio in the third.

Savannah State evened the score at 5-5 in the bottom of the third with a two-run double. Spring Hill clawed back ahead with two more runs through the sixth.

SSU tied the game again in the sixth at 7-7.
AJ Swader hit a two-run walk-off home run to right field, sealing the 9-7 series opener victory.

Savannah State opened scoring with an RBI double in the fourth. Spring Hill brought the game to a 1-1 tie in the sixth on a RBI single bunt from
Seth Williams.

The Tigers jumped ahead by two runs in the sixth and held on to win 3-1 and even the series at 1-1.
