WILBERFORCE, Ohio – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team started its road trip off with a 55-48 win against Central State at Beacom/Lewis Gym on Saturday.

The Badgers (7-16, 6-10 SIAC) trailed the Marauders (10-11, 8-7 SIAC) 13-9 through the first quarter. A strong second quarter, highlighted by 36 percent shooting from beyond the arc helped Spring Hill pull ahead, 27-22, at the halftime break.

The SHC offense held on strong and never gave up the lead through the end of the game. Spring Hill led by as many as 16 points in the third quarter.

Marta Duda recorded her fifth double-double of the season, highlighted by 14 points and a game-leading 15 rebounds.
Laurie Severe followed close behind with 11 points behind three 3-pointers.
