They Said It
Head Coach Carl Reynolds
On the match
"Listen, we'll take the six points from the first nine. Disappointed today, because we felt it was a game that we shouldn't have lost. Maybe didn't do enough to deserve to win it, but didn't deserve to lose. Credit to West Alabama, they defended really well and worked really hard out of possession, denied spaces that we wanted to operate in and we probably didn't create enough on the day to win the game. Like I said, six points out of nine and we'll have a good few days off of rest now, which is much needed and we'll be refreshed and ready to go again on Friday."
Â
On the mindset going on the road in conference
"Same as always, every game is one at a time and we're going to go all the way to Lee (Tenn.). Tough game, but we want to win the game and then it will be the same mindset going into Trevecca Nazarene. I'm so proud of the guys, it's been a good start to the season for us, positive. We're making good strides and, like I said, a little bit of rest now will do us really good and we'll be really excited to again on Friday."
