Badgers drop doubleheader to West Florida

Villar extends reached base streak to 18 games; hit streak to 13

MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College softball team dropped both games in Tuesday's doubleheader against West Florida, the first 6-2 and the second 8-3, at Murray Field.
 
Meadow Villar and Kayla Coley-Drayton led the Badgers (17-15, 16-0 SIAC) with two RBIs apiece. Coley Drayton went 1-for-3 in both games while Villar, who extended her reached base streak to 18 games, went 1-for-3 then a perfect 2-for-2.
 
Emily Phillips (5-4) suffered the loss after tossing a complete game to start the day. She gave up four earned runs (six total) on eight hits. Emma Curry (6-3) took the loss in the circle in game two after conceding eight runs on six hits with one strikeout over 4.1 innings.
