FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Spring Hill College baseball team split a weekend doubleheader against Kentucky State; falling in game one, 14-5, before winning game two 17-4 at the Western Hills Baseball Field on Saturday.

Toran Smith led Spring Hill (24-16, 19-7 SIAC) with his 1-for-3 performance in the second game that featured his first home run as a Badger, four RBI and a pair of scored runs.
Seth Williams also contributed at the plate when he hit his 10
th homer of the season during the nightcap.

Landen Harris (3-1) took his first loss of the season on the mound after giving up five runs on five hits and walking a batter.
Evan Langston (5-3) earned the win in game two after starting and scattering four runs on six hits and four walks while striking out five batters across 5.0 innings.

Game One
- T1 | Nick Hunter scored on a wild pitch. Jack Taylor hit a home run to center field and brought home John Mahoney as well as Jackson Bell, Spring Hill 4-0.
- B1 | Mitchell Collins doubled through the right side to score a pair of runs, Spring Hill 4-2.
- T5 | Parker Serio singled to left field to score Bell, Spring Hill 5-2.
- B5 | Kentucky State begins its scoring run with three runs, highlighted by Collins' two-RBI single that tied the game, 5-5.
- B8 | The Thorobreds put together a nine-run inning to take and ensure its lead, Kentucky State 14-5.
Game Two
- T1 | Williams hits his first of two home runs to right field, Spring Hill 1-0.
- B1 | KSU scores three runs that were capped off by Collins' groundout RBI, Kentucky State 3-1.
- B3 | Cedric Poellnitz singled to right field to score Collier Higgs, Kentucky State 4-1.
- T6 | Walter Guillot singled through the right side to score Williams. Smith blasted a home run over the left center field wall that brought home a total of three runs. Hunter singled through the left side to score Ethan Valdez. Bell sacrificed to center field to score Eli Benoit. Williams homered again, this time to right field and got Hunter home as well, Spring Hill 9-4.
- T7 | Benoit doubled to left center to score Valdez and Smith. John Webb smashed a home run to right center, scoring three runs total. Taylor scored on a bases-loaded walk, Spring Hill 17-4.
