Badgers Take Kentucky State Series in Extra Innings

Bell belts a grand slam and home run

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Spring Hill College baseball team clinched the Kentucky State series with a 15-5 win in Sunday's conference rubber match at the Western Hills Baseball Field.
 
Jackson Bell led SHC (25-16, 20-7 SIAC) with a grand slam, a home run, six RBIs and three runs on two hits in seven at-bats. Ethan Valdez contributed with three RBIs and one run scored while going 1-for-5. Seth Williams had a productive day at the plate while going 4-for-6 with an RBI and a run scored.
 
Jackson Kent (1-1) captured his first victory of the season on the mound after giving up a single run on hone hit and one walk in 1.2 innings pitched in extras. Michael Racobaldo did not give up any runs and scattered two hits, five walks and 10 strikeouts across 6.0 innings.
