Badgers sweep doubleheader versus Benedict

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Spring Hill College baseball team swept Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) foe Benedict in a doubleheader at Tiger Field on Saturday.

Gage Ragona led Spring Hill (26-18, 24-4 SIAC) with 10 RBIs, six runs and five hits across both victories. Benedict fell to 13-18 and 8-16 in conference play after the games. 

The Badgers led the entirety of both games and stole 15 bases while leading the Tigers. Ragona batted in 10 of SHC's 36 runs of the day.

Matthew Delcambre (1-2) took the win in game one on the mound after not allowing any runs and striking out four batters across four innings. Jackson Short (3-1) claimed the victory on the bump in game two with two strikeouts and just two earned runs in three innings pitched.
