MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College softball team swept Kentucky State in a weekend Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) doubleheader at Murray Field on Sunday.

Spring Hill (18-19, 15-1 SIAC) swept Kentucky State (12-24, 5-11 SIAC) on its senior day. The Badgers were led by
McKenzie King, who went 2-for-7 with two RBIs across both victories.
Alexandra Ballester scattered six hits and 18 strikeouts across two complete games.
In the first game, SHC scored four runs in the third to get on the board first, 4-0, before KSU answered with their lone run of the game in the fourth. Spring Hill brought in four more runs in the fifth and sixth innings to solidify the 8-1 win to kick off senior day. Badger Softball seniors

Brooke Kelly were honored between the two games. The Badgers clinched the series and shutout the Thorobreds in game two, 4-0, while recording 13 hits.Â
