Badgers suffer home loss to Rams

MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team suffered an 18-4 loss to cross-town rival Mobile at Sims-Galle Field on Tuesday.

The Badgers got on the board first and held a 2-0 lead in the second inning highlighted by a RBI double by Holden Watson. The Rams answered in the third with a home run to center field to cut the Badger's lead to 2-1. Norris McClure was brought across the plate in the third on a hit by pitch to make it a 3-1 game. Mobile answered again in the fourth by scoring on a wild pitch bringing the game back within one run, 3-2. McClure hit a RBI single up the middle to extend the Spring Hill lead back out to two runs, 4-2, in the bottom of the fourth. Mobile brought the game back within one run in the fifth and took off in the sixth by piling on 14 runs. Another run in the seventh secured the 18-4 win for the nationally-ranked (9) Rams.

Anthony Aleman took the loss for SHC while Jaden Brown claimed the win on the bump for Mobile.
