MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team fell in a non-conference mid-week road game to Montevallo, 18-8, at Bob Riesener Stadium on Wednesday.
Spring Hill held a 5-0 lead in the top of the fifth inning before Montevallo answered by tying the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the fifth. The Badgers regained the lead again with three runs in the top of the sixth, but Montevallo took it back (9-8) with four more runs in the bottom half of the inning. The late comeback continued for the Falcons with nine more runs in the seventh and eighth innings to secure to 18-8 victory over the Badgers.
Gage Ragona led Spring Hill with three RBIs, two runs and two hits in four at bats.
Matthew Delcambre took the loss on the mound for SHC while Zach Toth took the win for Montevallo.
