Spring Hill falls to Allen on the road

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team fell to Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) foe Allen, 73-57, at the John Hurst Adams Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.
 
The Yellow Jackets stormed ahead of the Badgers early and took a 16-9 lead after the first quarter. Spring Hill almost matched Allen in scoring in the second quarter (16-13) but trailed 32-22 at halftime. Allen held on to defeat SHC 73-57. The Badgers fell to 2-10 (1-6 SIAC) while the Yellow Jackets improved to (2-5 SIAC) and snapped a five-game losing streak.
 
Tyashia Bostick led the game in scoring with 21 points, followed by Nyaneit Puok and Emyria Harris, who tallied 10 apiece. Allen was led by Talayah Boxley, who recorded 12 points and three rebounds.
