WILBERFORCE, Ohio – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team fell to Central State, 74-64, in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) West Division opener at Beacom/Lewis Gym on Saturday.

The Badgers were behind at the half, 35-22, despite matching the Marauders scoring in the second quarter (16-16). SHC surged back in the third quarter and cut the lead down to three points (50-47) after scoring 25 points. Despite the outstanding performance by Spring Hill in the third quarter, Central State won the SIAC west division opener 74-64. The loss comes despite SHC shooting a season-high .442 percent (23-52) from the floor.

Tyashia Bostick led the Badgers with 19 points, six rebounds, two steals and a block. On the other side of the court, Kailyn Nash led the game in scoring with 20 points and tallied eight rebounds, three steals, two blocks and an assist.
