Men's soccer defeats Faulkner 3-1 at home

MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men's soccer team defeated Faulkner University 3-1 in a non-conference match on Tuesday at Library Field.
 
Manuel Mihalits opened scoring at 4:04 by finding the back of the net and giving the Badgers a 1-0 lead. Just two minutes later, Jorgen-Krohn Pettersen connected with Mikel Penin Alberdi, who scored and gave Spring Hill a 2-0 advantage early in the first half. Faulkner fouled Brogan Horniman in the box, which prompted a penalty kick for SHC, Joao Amaral took it and scored, making it a 3-0 match in favor of the Badgers. The Eagles answered in the 62nd minute and cut the Badger lead to 3-1.
