ALBANY, Ga.  – The Spring Hill College volleyball team earned two sweeps over Edward Waters and Albany State at the SIAC Crossover Mini at the HPER Complex on Saturday.

Spring Hill opened the SIAC Mini Crossover with a three-set sweep of Edward Waters (25-19, 25-23, 25-21). SHC took control of the first set with a 6-0 scoring run, highlighted by kills from
Airyonna Weaver and
Jaylyne Bell, and held a 14-8 lead before winning the set 25-19. The Tigers took the lead (6-1) early in the second set, before the Badgers surged back with a scoring run, led by three kills from
Brooke Borgmeyer, who also recorded a career-high 21 kills. Spring Hill won set No. 2 25-21. The final set started with kills from three different Badgers: Weaver,
Emily Weinzapfel and Borgmeyer. The three kills contributed to SHC's 5-0 start in the set. Spring Hill maintained their lead and took set three 25-21 and the match 3-0.

The Badgers swept Albany State (25-20, 25-19, 25-19) in their final match at the Mini Crossover.
Taylor Fontenelle, who recorded her 100
th career service ace, tied the first set at 7 apiece with an ace. After two scoring runs, featuring three assists from
Jessica Fairly, the Badgers led 16-9. Borgmeyer, who led the match in kills (11), solidified the set win, 25-20. The Golden Rams put together a 6-0 scoring run to take the lead 15-13 in set two, the Badgers answered with an 8-0 run and regained the lead 24-19,
Mikayla Boyer assisted
Linnea Beger with a kill to take the set 25-19. SHC started the third set with a 6-2 lead and held on through the remainder of the match to win the set 25-19 and the match 3-0.
