MOBILE, Ala, (April 20, 2022) – The Spring Hill College (SHC) Badgers baseball team lost a 13-9 non-conference decision to the Loyola University (La.) Wolf Pack on Wednesday night at historic Stan Galle Field.
The Wolf Pack (27-17) scored five runs in the 1
st inning, but the Badgers answered back with six runs in the bottom of the frame. Loyola retook a 7-6 lead in the 3
rd inning and never looked back.
Five Badger pitchers allowed 11 hits and 11 walks with 14 strikeouts.
Solon White fell to 0-3 on the year in 1.0 innings of work with two hits, two walks and one strikeout.
Five Loyola pitchers surrendered 12 hits and two walks with seven strikeouts as Matthew Champagne improved to 4-0 on the year with 4.1 innings of relief work that included three hits, one walk and two strikeouts.

Luke Sweeney each had two hits for SHC with Ragona slapping a leadoff homer out of right field in the 1
st inning.
The Badgers (28-12; 17-4 SIAC) will be at the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers (10-18; 8-11 SIAC) on Saturday for a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) doubleheader beginning at noon.
