MOBILE, Ala. (February 16, 2022) – The Spring Hill College (SHC) Badgers baseball team lost a non-conference game versus the 24
th-ranked University of Montevallo Falcons 9-2 on Wednesday afternoon at historic Stan Galle Field.
The Falcons (8-0) opened the scoring with a two-run home run out of left-center field in the top of the 1
st inning by third baseman Sam Kuchinski. The Badgers answered back with a run in the bottom of the frame off a ground ball to the right side of the infield by first baseman

Montevallo would go on to hang runs on Badger pitching over the next four frames as the Falcons totaled 11 hits and three walks with six strikeouts versus seven Badger pitchers.
Colin Millar (1-1) took the loss in 2.0 innings of the start with four hits and a strikeout.
Spring Hill also faced seven Falcon pitchers and collected five hits with six walks and nine strikeouts. Connor Phelan (1-0) got the win with 2.0 innings of relief work that included no hits and one strikeout.

The Badgers (4-3) will take the short trip to the University of Mobile on Friday to take on their archrivals the Rams (8-3) in a doubleheader at Mike Jacobs Field beginning at 12 p.m.
