LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team ran past the University of West Alabama (UWA) Tigers 13-4 on Wednesday afternoon at Tartt Field.
The Tigers (6-4) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the 2
nd inning, but the Badgers roared back to put 10 unanswered runs on the board in 5
th, 6
th and 7
th frames.
Four Badgers enjoyed multiple-hit performances led by shortstop
Daniel Rodriguez with three hits and center fielder
Joseph Guidry with two hits and five RBI.
Eight Badger pitchers took to the hill, limiting the Tigers to five hits with four walks and 11 strikeouts. SHC batters tallied 11 hits with 12 walks and seven strikeouts.
The Badgers (4-2) will next visit the Albany State University (ASU) Golden Rams (5-1) on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. (eastern) on Golden Rams Field at West Campus in Albany, Ga.
