Badgers fall 7-2 at Davidson

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team accepted a 7-2 loss at NCAA Division I opponent Davidson College at Wilson Field on Friday night.
 
The Badgers fell behind 2-0 in the 1st inning, but graduate transfer and former Wildcat 1st baseman Walker Imwalle made it a 2-1 game with a solo homer right to lead off the 2nd inning.
 
AJ Fell (0-2) took the loss for the Badgers in 4.0 innings of work with nine hits and one walk allowed. Gabe Levy earned the win for the Wildcats in 8.0 innings with eight hits and a walk allowed along with eight strikeouts.
 
SHC designated hitter Mason Bonnaffons had two hits with a double while four Wildcats picked up two hits each as centerfielder Parker Nolan slapped a 2-run homer in the 3rd inning and 3rd baseman John Hosmer had an RBI-double in the 5th inning.
 
The Badgers (4-7) and the Wildcats (7-8) will meet again on Saturday at 5 p.m. (EDT) at Wilson Field.
