MOBILE, Ala. – Three errors in the top of the 3
rd inning led to three runs for Loyola University (La.) and virtually doomed the Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team to a 7-3 loss on Tuesday night at historic Stan Galle Field.
The Badgers (4-6) took an early lead with a solo home run out of right field by designated hitter
Mason Bonnaffons with one out in the 1
st inning, but Loyola put three runs on the board via three errors by SHC in the 3
rd inning.
Nine Wolf Pack (14-8) pitchers held the Badgers to five hits with Alexander Acevado (2-0) being in the right place at the right time by pitching the 2
nd inning with no hits and two strikeouts to pick up the win.

Geo Camfield (0-3) took the loss in 2.2 innings of work with five hits, no walks and no strikeouts.
Shortstop Payton Alexander had three hits for Loyola with center fielder Aaron Davis collecting two doubles and first baseman Michael Calamari launching a 3-run bomb out of right in the 9
th inning to seal the Wolf Pack victory.

The Badgers (4-6) will visit the Davidson College Wildcats (5-8) this weekend for a 3-game set beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. (EDT) at Wilson Field in Davidson, N.C.
