MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team lost both ends of a non-conference doubleheader versus the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Chargers in the final innings of both games at historic Stan Galle Field on Wednesday afternoon, falling 7-6 and 5-4.
The Chargers (9-5) benefited from a brief light shower in the top of the 8

Grayson Williams with two outs allowing the winning run to cross the plate.
SHC reliever
Michael Novak (1-1) was the tough-luck loser in one inning of work with one hit and a walk allowed. Starter
Conner Ingram struggled in his first two innings allowing five runs before settling down to go five innings with seven hits, two walks and five strikeouts.
Badger first baseman
Mason Bonnaffons collected three hits with a double while Williams had two hits with a double.
The nightcap saw UAH rally from a 4-2 deficit to score a run in the 6
th inning off a double from catcher Hunter Nabors and then two more in the 7
th frame after leftfielder Tyler McCown and third baseman John Trousdale reached with one-out singles and were then brought home by a double to left-center by first baseman Colin Brewer.
Relief pitcher
Michael Romano (1-1) took the loss in two innings with five hits and two strikeouts while Kody Keiser (1-0) pitched the final four innings for the Chargers allowing one hit and a walk with five strikeouts.
SHC second baseman
Frankie Timphony had a two-run double to right-center in the 3
rd inning and centerfielder
Joseph Guidry had two hits including a double to left in the 6
th inning.
