SHC Baseball stopped at FIT, 14-0

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team lost a 14-0 non-conference decision versus the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) Panthers at Andy Seminick-Les Hall Field on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Panthers (3-7) used 13 hits versus six Badger pitchers while FIT used three pitchers over seven innings who allowed just two hits as left fielder Cade Simpson and designated hitter Daniel Rodriguez each slapped singles for SHC.
 
SHC starter AJ Fell (1-1) took the loss in 2.2 innings after allowing five hits with four walks and three strikeouts. Boris Villa Barros (1-1) earned the victory in five innings of work, giving up both Badger hits with two walks and four strikeouts.
 
The Badgers (4-6) next face cross-town NAIA rivals the University of Mobile Rams (11-2) at Hank Aaron Stadium on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
