MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's soccer team endured a 6-1 Gulf South Conference (GSC) loss to the Christian Brothers University (CBU) Lady Bucs at Signaigo Field on Sunday afternoon.

SHC took an early 1-0 lead as junior forward Sidney Spivey of Edgewood, Ky., stunned the Lady Bucs (6-1, 2-0 GSC) with a goal to the lower left corner of the net in the 7th minute of play coming off an assist from her sister, freshman midfielder Morgan Spivey.

CBU rallied back to make it a 3-1 contest heading to halftime as Bailey Tadlock, Ashton White and Bobbie Willis found goals in the 10th, 44th and 45th minutes of play. The lead grew to 4-1 in the 63rd minute as Tadlock added to her numbers by feeding an assist to Kendall Harris who found pay dirt with a shot to the lower center portion of the goal. Less than seven minutes later, the Lady Bucs made it a 5-1 game after Tadlock scored again with a center shot just under the crossbar.

The sixth and final goal for CBU came in the 73rd minute when Amanda Dutra got into the action with a tally from just inside the penalty box with another assist from Tadlock.

Sophomore keeper Grace Riley (0-3) of Covington, La., made five saves in the face of 18 shots and eight corner kicks by CBU. At the opposite end of the field, Riley Chafin of the Lady Bucs earned two saves versus four shots and no corner attempts in 68 minutes as Mia Holmes finished out the game with no saves against just one shot.

The Badgers (1-5, 0-2 GSC) will host the Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Warhawks (0-5, 0-1 GSC) in a conference match at Library Field on Friday at 1 p.m.
