PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Spring Hill College baseball team traveled to the Florida panhandle on Tuesday for a midweek contest with the University of West Florida.
SHC fell behind early as the Argonauts scored four runs on five hits in the home half of the 3
rd inning.
The Badgers answered back with three runs over their next two at-bats.
Neil Ring singled to right field to drive in
Luke Wall in the 4
th and
Brennan Fontenot and
Daniel Rodriguez both recorded a RBI in the 5
th inning.
It would be as close as Spring Hill would get, as UWF continued to answer back en route to an 8-6 victory.
Mason Bonnaffons finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored.
Tucker Powell (1-4) took the loss in 2.0 innings of work, surrendering two earned runs on six hits.
SHC (25-16, 17-3) wraps up the 2019 regular season this weekend when they host the SIAC leading Albany State Rams (17-1). Play starts on Friday with a doubleheader beginning at 2:00 pm at Historic Stan Galle Field.
