MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team hosted Miles College in a matchup of Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) West rivals on Friday.
Game 1
SHC used 11 hits to score 13 runs to take the first game of the twin bill, 13-5.
Mason Bonnaffons led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 and recording four RBI.
Neil Ring and Brennan Fontenot each recorded two RBI for the Badgers in the win.
Game 2
Trailing by one run entering the 6th inning of a seven inning game, Miles plated three runs over the final two frames and held on to salvage the split by taking the game, 7-6.
Starter Luke Dykes earned a no decision in 6.0 innings of work, giving up three earned runs on six hits.
John Sklopan ended the game 2-for-3 with two RBI.
SHC (10-11, 5-1) will wrap up their series with Miles on Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at noon at Historic Stan Galle Field.
