NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) court volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-14) non-conference victory over the Loyola University (La.) Wolf Pack (11-12) at The Den on Tuesday, stretching their current winning streak to 17 matches.
SHC held the Wolf Pack to a .058 (27-20-120) attack percentage, allowing seven aces and 25 assists while piling up nine blocks with 65 digs on defense. The Badgers established a .298 (43-12-104) final attack percentage with two aces and 40 assists against four blocks and 44 digs by Loyola.
Individually, sophomore middle hitter
Kassandra Fairly of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., had 13 kills, four blocks and an ace while senior setter
Emmarose Neibert of Arnold, Mo., passed around 32 assists. On defense, senior libero
Cassidi Sterrett of Lee's Summit, Mo., had 19 digs while junior outside hitter
Allison Weimer of Covington, La., added four blocks to go with her nine kills.
The Badgers (18-4, 12-0 SIAC) now travel to Jackson, Tenn., this weekend to play in the second Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) West Division Cluster hosted by Lane College, beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday versus the Kentucky State University Thorobretts (13-8, 10-1 SIAC) in J.F. Lane Gymnasium.
