TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) court volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-17) victory over the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers (5-11, 5-7 SIAC) at the Daniel "Chappie" James Center in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) West Division match on Tuesday night.
SHC held the Golden Tigers to a .052 (24-28-116) attack percentage with three aces and 33 assists. The Badgers built a .323 (35-3-99) attack percentage with four aces and 32 assists. On defense, SHC had 51 digs with nine blocks.
Individually, junior right side hitter
Bentley Odom from Murphy High School in Mobile had 10 kills and four blocks while senior setter
Emmarose Neibert of Arnold, Mo., handed out 19 assists. Senior libero
Cassidi Sterrett of Lee's Summit, Mo., had 19 digs.
The Badgers (17-4, 12-0 SIAC) travel to The Den in New Orleans, La., on Tuesday, October 8, at 6 p.m. to face out-of-conference Jesuit rival the Loyola University Wolf Pack (9-10).
