Orlando, FL – The Spring Hill College (SHC) volleyball team defeated Mississippi College at the South Region Crossover held in Orlando, FL on Saturday morning. The Badgers claimed the victory by scores of 12-25, 25-16, 25-20, and 25-19.
Taylor Hurst and
Kassandra Fairly led the Badger front line attack as they hammered home 15 and 14 kills respectively.
Emily Sullivan came off the bench to contribute 11 kills while
Allison Weimer and
Bentley Odom contributed 8 kills and 7 kills. As a team, SHC hit for a .221 attack percentage.
Emmarose Neibert handed out 51 assists in directing the Badger offense.
Defensively,
Cassidi Sterrett came up with 20 digs to anchor the Badger back line.
Randi De'Armitt added 15 digs and Neibert 11 as the Badger back line continued its solid play.
"We hadn't lost a set since September 8
th and were definitely due," said head coach
Peggy Martin. "Mississippi College executed so well in set one and we were collectively awful. Very happy we could put it together after such a disastrous start.

Emily Sullivan coming off the bench for 11 kills in three sets was a huge plus offensively."
The Badgers (24-3, 16-0 SIAC) will next play Auburn University Montgomery at 4:45 PM.
