John Michael Faggard became the Head Coach of the women's golf team in August of 2022. In his first tournament as Head Coach, Faggard led the lady badgers to a NCAA Spring Hill College record breaking daily total of 304 on day two of the event in Birmingham. Coach Faggard also had a player make the All-Tournament team in the final event of the fall in Gulf Shores.
 
Coach Faggard is a McGill-Toolen Catholic High School alum, where he lettered on the varsity golf team for three years. His home course growing up was Spring Hill College where he started at 10 years old. He began working in the golf industry at Magnolia Grove at 19 here in Mobile and has been in the business ever since. His stops include Carter Plantation in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, a top course on the Audubon golf trail, as an Assistant Pro, where he learned to teach from PGA professionals Bill Caldwell and Andy Loving. He then went to Shell Landing in Gautier, a top-5 course in the state of Mississippi, and learned how to run a successful golf course from PGA professional Kenny Hughes. He then decided it was time to come back to Alabama as the Head Golf Professional at TimberCreek Golf Club in Spanish Fort. Coach Faggard gained invaluable knowledge on golf course operations, food and beverage management, and outstanding customer service from PGA professionals Rob Bradley and Andy Ray, as well as Mr. Bradley’s wife Patti.
 
Coach Faggard has been teaching golf since his early 20’s and has taught several juniors that have gone on to play collegiately at the NCAA Division I and II levels.
 
Coach Faggard is 36 years old, has been married for seven years to his wife Jordan and they have three children, Harper(6) Beau(5) and Caroline(3).
