Powell returned as an assistant coach of the Badger Baseball team during the 2023 season. That same year, Spring Hill won its third-straight SIAC Championship and captured its first NCAA Tournament victory in program history.

A former 1st baseman on head coach Frank Sims' Badgers Baseball team, Landon moved from the field to the sidelines, joining the SHC softball staff in January 2020. In 2019, he hit .208 in 48 at-bats with two doubles, two home runs and 8 RBI. He previously played at Alabama Southern Community College and Nicholls State University after his spending his prep years at Mobile Christian School under head coach Talley Haines. Landon is majoring in Health Science and his twin brother, Tucker, still pitches for the Baseball Badgers.
