Blake Beavers joined the Badger staff in November 2016. After spending his redshirt freshman season at the University of North Alabama in 2012, he transferred to Martin Methodist College (MMC) and played there from 2013 to 2016. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in human performance from MMC in 2016. Beavers graduated from Sheffield High School in Sheffield, Ala., in 2011.

He built a 30-18 career record in four seasons at MMC with 234 strike outs in 307 innings-pitched with 16 complete games and currently holds the school record for career wins.
