Badgers Finish Fifth at Full Moon BBQ Invitational

CALERA, Ala. — The Spring Hill College women's golf team opened the 2026-27 season with a fifth-place finish at the Full Moon BBQ Invitational, hosted by the University of Montevallo at Timberline Golf Club Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Badgers finished fifth in the eight-team field with a three-round total of 949 strokes (312-320-317) on the par-71, 5,587-yard course.

Mississippi Christian won the team title with 880 strokes (292-293-295) and Union's Camille Burnette finished as the top individual in the field with 213 strokes (73-71-69).

Grace Denegri led Spring Hill with a 13th-place finish, carding 231 strokes (78-75-78).

Elizabeth Haughery finished tied for 18th with 234 strokes (73-81-80), while Abby Ankenman finished 26th with 242 strokes (79-79-84).

Bailee Reaper tied for 33rd with 247 strokes (82-85-80), while Cameron Frazier tied for 36th with 248 strokes (84-85-79).

Competing as an individual, Sofia Hernandez Gonzalez also tied for 36th with 248 strokes (84-81-83).

Next Up: Spring Hill will take a short hiatus before returning to action October 19-20 at the La Tour Intercollegiate, hosted at LaTour Golf Club in Thibodaux, La.
