MOBILE, Ala. — The Spring Hill College women's soccer team was picked to finish eighth out of 12 teams in the Gulf South Conference as the league released its 2026 preseason poll and honors on Monday.
The Badgers received 48 points in the preseason poll, which was voted on by the conference's 12 women's soccer head coaches. Lee topped the poll with 120 points, followed by Montevallo with 112 points.
Spring Hill senior midfielder Sofia Jimenez Garcia was named to the Preseason All-GSC Team. The Badgers also had three players recognized as Newcomers to Watch: junior midfielder Clemence Raoult, freshman defender Miranda Reyna Campos and freshman forward/midfielder Baileigh Rumage.
Spring Hill will open the 2026 season on Aug. 27 when the Badgers begin home play on August 27th when it hosts Edward Waters University at 1 PM CST. The Badgers will then begin GSC competition at 2:30 PM CST on Sept. 12 against Christian Brothers, as they look to build on their preseason standing and make a run at the conference championship.
