Spring Hill Picked 11th in GSC Preseason Men's Soccer Poll

MOBILE, Ala. — The Spring Hill College men's soccer team will look to be a darkhorse this season after it was picked to finish 11th out of 11 teams in the Gulf South Conference as the league released its 2026 preseason poll and honors on Wednesday.

The Badgers received 14 points in the preseason poll, which was voted on by the conference's 11 head coaches. Auburn University at Montgomery topped the poll with 94 points and four first-place votes, followed by Mississippi Christian with 90 points and six first-place votes.

Spring Hill also had two players named to the GSC Newcomers to Watch list. Freshman goalkeeper Jose Lozano Soto and sophomore midfielder Alvaro Mestre were recognized among the conference's 26 newcomers to watch.

The 2026 season marks Spring Hill's first season competing as a member of the GSC. The Badgers open the season Sept. 2 when it travels to the University of Mobile before beginning conference play Sept. 12 at Christian Brothers.
