MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Spring Hill track teams opened the outdoor season over the weekend, taking part in the Falcon Classic and Multi hosted by Montevallo. The Badger men took home 13th place out of 22 teams, while the Spring Hill women finished in 11th out of 17.

The two Spring Hill programs combined for seven podium finishes and seven personal bests.

The men's 100 saw senior
Grant Nastasi land in fourth place, doing so with a time of 10.71, while freshman teammates
Devon Nash (11.36) and Cavan Alston (11.97) took 28th and 38th respectively.
Lilly Legnon produced a mark of 13.83 in the women's race, finding herself in 31st individually.

Nastasi led the way in the men's 200, as well, as his mark of 22.45 was good enough for 15th place, with
Theo Hubbard (23.07), Ben Harris (23.84) and Alston (24.63) rounding out the Spring Hill men's field. Sophomore
Lydia Hamilton (27.03) was the top Badger in the women's 200, followed by Miriam Cosky (27.66),
Ferrin Westry (29.58) and Legnon (29.93).

Kobe King produced Spring Hill's first personal best of the day, doing so in the 400 to take 12th place, one spot ahead of teammate Ben Harris (51.96). Hamilton (1:01.25) placed sixth on the women's side, with Cosky (1:01.69) and Westry (1:06.83) both turning in personal bests to take seventh and 13th place respectively.

Freshman
Nolan Akers (2:09.94) turned in a season-best time in the men's 800 to take 23rd, with
Luke Burlison (2:13.71) picking up 29th.
Cecilia Light (2:20.64) came in third place individually in the women's 800, with junior Evelyn Herrera (2:34.25) picking up 11th as both set a personal best.

Sophomores
Grant Holder (4:43.13) and Burlison (4:52.93) represented the Badgers in the men's 1500, while Herrera (5:16.02) set a new season best in the women's race to take 11th there, as well. Freshman
Kerrigan Klevanosky (6:28.04) set a new PR in the same event.

Freshman
Leia Mayeux earned fourth in the women's pole vault, clearing 2.30m (7' 6 ½") on her second attempt. Â

Senior
Zachary Thomas was the top finisher in the men's steeplechase, turning in a time of 10:30.60, his best performance on the young season. King took fifth in the men's triple jump with a PR attempt of 13.97m (45' 10") to close out the day for the Badgers.
