XENIA, Ohio -- The Spring Hill College women's volleyball team continued its dominant run through Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play, sweeping all three opponents at the 2026 SIAC Crossover #2 to extend its conference winning streak to 11 matches.
The Badgers opened the weekend Friday with a 25-19, 25-16, 25-18 sweep of Clark Atlanta University before taking down Fort Valley State University, 25-11, 25-16, 25-16. Spring Hill completed the perfect weekend Saturday morning with a 25-14, 25-20, 25-22 victory over Allen University.
The three victories pushed Spring Hill to 12-7 overall and 11-0 in SIAC play. All 11 of the Badgers' conference victories have come by way of a sweep.
Spring Hill opened the crossover with a strong offensive and serving performance against Clark Atlanta. Samaya Hennessy led the Badgers with 12 kills and five service aces, while Claire Hayes added nine kills and Quinn Thurman chipped in five.
Cassie Creech directed the offense with 19 assists, while Lily Floyd added nine. Ashlyn Whiteside anchored the defensive effort with a match-high 20 digs, and Thurman added 10.
The Badgers finished the opening match with 36 kills and 14 service aces while hitting .188 as a team. Spring Hill also held Clark Atlanta to a .118 hitting percentage.
Spring Hill returned to the court Friday afternoon and produced another convincing sweep against Fort Valley State.
Hennessy again paced the Badgers with 10 kills, adding four aces and nine digs. Bailey Bevolo recorded seven kills on 12 attacks without an error, hitting .583, while Hayes added six kills.
Creech totaled 10 assists and three aces, with Floyd contributing eight assists. Whiteside once again led the Badgers defensively with 12 digs, while Thurman added nine.
Spring Hill hit .179 as a team and held Fort Valley State to a .034 hitting percentage. The Badgers also finished with a 10-0 advantage in service aces.
The Badgers wrapped up the crossover Saturday morning against Allen, earning their third consecutive sweep of the weekend.
Hayes led the way with 10 kills on 19 attacks, hitting .421, while Hennessy added eight kills and 13 digs. Thurman contributed six kills and six digs.
Whiteside turned in another strong defensive performance with 20 digs, giving her a team-high 52 digs across the three matches. Creech recorded 15 assists, while Floyd added 11 assists.
Spring Hill finished with 37 kills and hit .232 as a team against Allen. The Badgers limited the Yellow Jackets to a .040 hitting percentage while finishing with 49 digs.
Across the three matches, Spring Hill went 9-for-9 in sets, extending its run of dominance at the SIAC's Xenia events. The Badgers have now swept all seven of their SIAC matches played in Xenia this season, including the four-match West Division Cluster #1 last weekend and all three matches at this weekend's crossover.
The Badgers have won 11 consecutive conference matches and have not dropped a set in SIAC play since the start of conference competition.
Spring Hill returns to action Tuesday, Oct. 6, hosting Mississippi Christian University at 6 p.m. at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center in Mobile.
