PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Spring Hill College volleyball team defeated both Northern Michigan, 3-1, and (RV) Wheeling, 3-2, at the UWF Field House on Friday.

Spring Hill (2-1) started the day with a 3-2 (25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 25-19) win against Northern Michigan (1-1). The Badgers led in every statistical category, except for service aces.

Claire Hayes led the match with 21 kills while
Monica Vargo led with 46 assists. SHC also dominated defensively behind
Hayley Hillman's seven total blocks and
Ashlyn Whitesides 22 digs, both of which led the match.

The Badgers kept their momentum going into the second match, where they defeated Wheeling (0-3), 3-2 (23-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-9). Spring Hill led with 83.0 points, 67 kills, 12 blocks and 60 assists.

Hayes led the contest with 17 kills and Vargo led again with 50 assists. Hillman tallied eight blocks and Whiteside led with 24 digs.
