MOBILE, Ala. – Athletic Director
Joe Niland announced TJ Jackson as the new head coach of the Spring Hill College men's golf team.
Jackson was named the head coach of the Spring Hill College men's golf program after serving as the head coach of the University of Mobile men's and women's golf teams for 10 seasons. At Mobile, he developed Heather Nail, who earned an individual bid to the 2016 NAIA National Championship. UM also saw Noah Whittington earn SSAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2019-20.
Prior to his time at Mobile, Jackson was the head coach of the South Alabama women's golf program for 15 seasons. Under his direction, the Jags produces 10 all-conference selections and 36 WGCA Scholar-Team honorees. He also led the Jags to a pair of top-three finishes at the Sun Belt Championship and five team wins during the 2007-08 season.
The Mobile native prepped at Davidson High School and his collegiate playing career included stops at Kentucky, Spring Hill and South Alabama. While at South, he became the first individual conference champion in program history in 1987. His professional playing career featured six top-10 finishes on the NGA Hooters Tour from 1989-94.
Jackson is married to the former Juliana Millette and has three children, Jordan, Luke and Lane.
